Ambassadors browse the products you've made eligible — by SKU, by collection, by spend allowance — and check out inside the portal. Roster pushes the order to Shopify tagged "Roster Reward," and your existing fulfillment ships it. No discount codes to mint. No gift cards to email. No one-by-one orders in admin.
Book a DemoProduct seeding should be simple: ambassador hits a milestone, ambassador gets a product. Instead it's a workaround stack — a one-off discount code, a gift card link in an email, an order placed by hand in Shopify admin, a shipping spreadsheet that someone forgets to update.
At 50 ambassadors it's tedious. At 500 it's impossible. So most brands quietly stop seeding products — and switch to cash. But the unboxing video, the "look what just arrived" story, the genuine review of a real product — that's the content that converts. You don't get it from a Venmo.
"Our ambassadors do all the things we want them to and then they immediately get rewarded with the right product to get them started. It's automated a ton."— Orion Supps
Pick the exact products the ambassador can choose from, or point at a Shopify collection that updates live whenever you tweak it in admin. Limit by quantity ("pick one") or by total value ("up to $100 of supplements"). Stack multiple product groups for a bundle: pick one snowboard and one t-shirt. Add hidden products that don't show in your storefront but are available as a reward.
Use it as the unlock at a milestone tier — silver gets a $50 bundle, gold gets a $100 spend allowance. Or attach it to a campaign as the join reward (welcome kits, product launches) or completion reward (post the unboxing, get the next drop). One reward configuration, two attachment points, no duplicated setup.
Reward unlocks, ambassador opens it in the portal, browses what they're entitled to, picks their items, enters shipping info, confirms. Out-of-stock items are flagged automatically; they pick something else. Once they submit, they get an order confirmation with a tracking link — the same flow they'd see buying from your store.
The order lands in Shopify tagged Roster Reward, zeroed out, with the shipping policy you configured (free, flat rate, or your default). Your warehouse, 3PL, or fulfillment app ships it like any other order. The ambassador sees real-time tracking in their portal. You see redemption status in your rewards dashboard, with a deep-link back to the Shopify order for any questions.
Automated (Shopify-native, fully self-serve) or manual (you fulfill yourself, Roster tracks who's owed what).
Pick specific SKUs for a curated reward, or point at a Shopify collection that updates live as you change it in admin.
"Pick one item" or "up to $100 of products." Limits enforced in-portal at checkout — no overspend, no out-of-band orders.
Stack groups for shoppable bundles — one snowboard + one t-shirt + one accessory, each with its own pool of choices.
Cover shipping or charge a flat rate the ambassador pays. Set per reward, applied at the in-portal checkout.
Make products available as rewards without listing them in your storefront. Bundle bonus swag automatically alongside the main pick.
Most ambassador tools handle product rewards by handing you a CSV and asking you to ship it. Roster turns the reward into a real e-commerce flow: ambassador picks the product (or the bundle) in the portal, the order lands in Shopify tagged as a Roster Reward, your existing fulfillment ships it. No discount codes to mint, no gift cards to email, no spreadsheet to track who shipped what — and no reason to fall back to cash because the product flow finally scales.
